Welcome, I’m Wayne.
I trust that you will find your time here enjoyable and well spent. I am pleased to introduce myself, my family and my great supportive team! Together we strive to grow personally and professionally to deliver care at the highest level.
I began my practice in Albert Lea in 1967, after attending Concordia College and receiving my Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees and my Masters Degree in Orthodontics (M.S.D.) from the University of Minnesota. I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an examining and testing board aspiring to promote excellence in Orthodontics. I have enjoyed extensive studies in the fields of temporomandibular joint dysfunction and chronic pain and surgical orthodontics. I enjoy teaching and lecturing on occlusion and TMJ. The year 2000 brought me to Spain as program chair for the annual meeting of an international study group. The year 2001 brings me to Toronto as President of the Roth/Williams International Society of Orthodontists. Advancement in orthodontics now is led by people worldwide. I now teach part time in the Orthodontic Department at the University of Minnesota with my son, Daniel.
My wife, Jackie and I have four children. Mark-a remarkable experience with a “Down’s” child. Paul-a Concordia College graduate and a 1991 graduate of University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in Colorado Springs with Christina, his Danish wife/dentist and children Emma and Noah; Jill Marie-a Concordia graduate and spouse Steven Streich of Kalispell, Montana. They are the parents of Paul Steven, Sydne Mari, and Gretta Jacquelyn; Daniel-a 1993 Concordia graduate, 1999 graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, and a 2001 graduate of the University of Iowa in orthodontics. He is married to Jennifer Senske of Albert Lea, a dietary counselor. Their three boys are Jacob, Anders, and Macallan. They keep our lives busy and full of fun.
Sharing with the community has been an extension of our family’s faith. I have enjoyed working with First Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society, Boy Scouts, YMCA, Kiwanis, and others. Fun and happiness come from sharing with my wife, family, hunting, fishing, golf, skiing, and most important-spending time together.
